Indoor Weekend

This weekend I did not see Lilly at all. We had dear friends visiting and I could not squeeze Lilly in! But this was OK because it rained all weekend. It is still raining now. As the snow starts to melt and reveals the carnage of the winter, it is not a pretty sight around here. So, for the first time in a while, I stayed in.

Our friends have a baby who celebrated his first birthday last week. Here he is cruising around. This little guy loves to be on the move. When his parents picked him up and held him, he wanted none of it.

Getty tried to herd him about. She kept licking and sniffing at him. She at times appeared a bit baffled by his smallness.

He he is with his dad. Aren't those little feet cute? He was very fond of the remote control. And of all of Getty's toys. Once we thought the baby had popped a rabbit poop in his mouth! You've got to watch this guy every second! Luckily, it wasn't a rabbit poop after all.

These stirrup rotators are Bill's but I am going to hook them up to my stirrups. I have been meaning to try them for a while. I want to see if it makes a difference in how my ankle feels when I am riding. Because sometimes I feel all stuck in one position. I am pretty sure this has to do with all the winter garb I am forced to wear. If I like them, I'll order myself a pair so Bill does not have to subsdize all the cool stuff on my saddle. Also, I am not sure why, but I am very drawn to new saddle pads. I have several. But I always want more. Honeysuckle Faire actually found one made with TOILE!!!! But it wasn't for a western saddle. I suspect that finding a western saddle pad in toile (preferably pink toile) will be no easy feat. But I am going to keep looking. I also love pink plaid. Again, also much easier to find for an english saddle.
I'm off to watch bullriding. Brandon just found it on ESPN!

I did search for a western toile saddle pad. I am sure it is out there, but it is sort of an onomatopoeia (western and toile!) Ha! Pink plaid should be easy, even for western.
It is raining here too. All weekend. Ugh!
Your little baby visitor is very cute. I am sure Getty finds the tiny guy a bit puzzling.
