Our dear friend Louise the pig has died. Of old age, with Bill by her side.
We will have to carry on without her. But I will miss her so much. She was such a smart and bossy pig. Such a character. So fun to watch and be around. Louise was an indomitable force! She was not afraid to mingle in a herd or horses! Or stare down a herd of black angus cows who were moving a little too close to her apple tree!
Here I had made a B out of carrots as a good photo opp for Bay State Brumby. Guess who came charging into the scene once she discovered I had some carrots on the ground? I tried to get my camera to get the picture before Louise made it into the frame. Do you see that snout covered with hay busting in on the shot?
Hah!
Rest in peace, dear sweet Louise. You were quite a special earthling. We were lucky to have you for a while.

Weren't you all lucky to have a pig friend like Louise?! She sounds like she was an extra special gal - larger than life. RIP Louise...
I am so very sorry for your loss. I am glad you knew Louise and shared her antics with us on your blog. I still remember the first time I saw her in the background of one of your photos. I kept looking and looking and sent the link to my mom so we could laugh at sweet Louise. That is a wonderful story about her gobbling the carrot letters faster than you could stop her or photograph her.
I am a blubbering mess now. Maizie is here too. We are all sorry for you and Bill and everyone. Love to Louise and hugs to her friends.
I am so sorry to hear about Louise! I just adored her from afar. She was one cool pig!! You have lots of memories of her!!
Oh no!! I loved her pictures when she appeared. I'm sorry...
She did live quite the great life though so I'm sure she's gruffling above with happiness!
