More Help for Hoof

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

In the continual effort to have Lilly's feet be sound and healthy, Bill has administered our latest venture in hoof treatment. Yesterday, while I sat at my desk at work pondering Neem Oil and Rose Extract, Bill tended to my beautiful brumby. The result? A thick, black bandagey sort of slipper that will protect her foot and hoof while the missing chunks fill in and out. This horse has no idea how much we love her! Look at the little Fix-It area Bill has set up for Lilly! Plus, it was as hot as a tamale yesterday! All that work in the hot sun! The wrap looks just perfect.

Bill is so wonderful for doing that for you!
My OH was wonderful at helping with Fritzy's hoof abcess last spring, if I had to work late he would bring her out and soak and rewrap her hoof. We are so lucky to have such great guys!

Hello.

Please can you give me a little more info on your testing. We are using Stockholm Tar to treat thrush but want to change to NEEM as it isn't toxic. What sort of mix are you using etc?
Any information would be gratefully received.
Regards

Andy

I too like Neem. I like using natural things. Neem has been used forever in India. It is quite an amazing tree.
