This weekend I went to an event that combined a fashion show with a party and it took place in a riding arena. In case you might not believe me, I have posted some pictures to share. Yep, that's an arena all right.
The models wearing the fashion show clothes came down an aisle, almost like they were horses. Look, there's Jackie K on the other side with her red solo cup!
There were in fact a few horses in the show. They had no trouble with the band, the loud, yammering people and all the flashes going off. Later I learned they were wearing earplugs. I took a few snaps of them which came out crappy. They were warmblood crosses. And quite tall.
Naturally, I had to check out the tack room. It was pretty tidy.
And completely focused on english riding.
I also spent the weekend with Lilly. I didn't get any good photos because we were in the ring and I have to concentrate more when I am with her there. But I did get this picture of the neighbor's guinea hens who eyed me suspiciously before loudly running off.
And now I am off to investigate recipes for rhubarb pie!

Every year I say this and here I go again...."I have never had rhubarb pie before. Some day I hope I will!"

Yum, rhubarb pie! 'Tis the season for our first native "fruit"--very high in vitamin C.
So--which was more interesting? The fashions or the tack? :)
