Happy Anniversary!

Tomorrow is our fifth wedding anniversary! We had a wonderful wedding in the backyard of our house. There was a tent, a zillion glowing jack-0-lanterns and all of our favorite friends and family members. We were married by one of our best friends who got a special one-day license to be the "reverend." We got married at night and the weather was gorgoeus--warm enough to be summer. Above you see the template for our wedding invitation.

And this picture isn't great but it gives you an idea of how we re-worked it into our invitation. Ours was not a totally wacky wedding, but it wasn't conventional either. We didn't want a stuffy affair. All we wanted was a night of great fun. The DJ played all of our faves, including Sir Mixalot's I Like Big Butts.

I regret that tomorrow I will be in Chicago, traveling for work. This means I won't even be with my husband on our anniversary! It also means that any weekend time with my brumby is a bust. I won't fly home until Monday morning. So for the next several days I will not be able to blog. Rats.

But before I leave for the weekend and conclude this post, I'd like to include a picture of our new baby rabbit. Her name is Licorice, and Kestrel brought her home from school after one of her classmates got the rabbit and then claimed it attacked her. This thing? Attack rabbit? This makes me laugh. I guess some people don't know cuteness even when it bites them in the arse!

Happy Weekend to all.

Have a great trip - the weather's supposed to be pretty good except for tomorrow (you may remember that I live about 40 miles north of Chicago). And happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary - to you and Brandon ("Man is all thumbs")! What a great invitation. Have a good trip anyway even though it is Brandonless and Brumbyless. Kestrel's new Licorice is delightfully yummy. She probably attacked the classmate so that she could come live in your happy home!

Lol, you and Brandon are hilaaaaaarious! That is the best wedding invitation EVER!! Seriously. You should win an award or something.

As for the bunny -- what a fuzzy little ball of adorableness! Attack rabbit? That sounds very Monty Python-esque...but, just in case, don't let your guard down. Those huge innocent eyes could be hiding a monster (hahaha).

Happy Anniversary to both of you!! Love that your wedding was so relaxed and low key!
That is the cutest bunny and a wonderful addition to your family!

All I can say, stay away from the Black Knight and any rumors he might attempt to spread about the true nature of bunnies.

*whispers* The copy editor in me has to point out that your title is missing a letter.

Oh... hope we can play with Licorice. Wiggley bites sometimes but Mum just taps him on his nose gently whenever he does that - seems to make him stop biting me!

He is such a cute little guy. I have been thinking about a bunny just kind of scared if I let it out he is going to go all out on my garden.
