Last weekend I wasn't horsing around like most weekends. Instead Brandon and I headed to the beach.
Here's the view from my beach chair the first day we arrived. Not too shabby. While on the beach I read The House of Silk by Anthony Horowtiz. Then we discovered that next door in Asbury Park, it was the very weekend of the annual Zombie Walk! The Zombie Walk is not to be missed!
Naturally, Zombies come in all ages, sizes and shapes. Saturday at 5pm, the zombies began to assemble on the boardwalk. Led by a band, they walked the entire boardwalk. Actually, to be accurate, most zombies to do walk. They clomp. And they are usually dragging one foot. Asbury Park was in the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest Zombie Walk in history. Then a town in Mexico beat out the American zombies.
The parade of zombies is gross and endless. There are usually a lot of Disney character zombies, and zombies from the medical field.
But these tennis club zombies were my favorite.
There are always a few zombies that have you scratching your head.
Imagine my horror when a horse zombie appeared!!!!!!!!!!!
Usually the beach is not zombie-infested however. This has its benefits.
There is no escaping the mushroom! This Amanita muscaria apparently loves the salty sea air. One side will make you grow taller. And the other side will make you grow shorter. (That for any Alice in Wonderland fans!)
Is everyone getting ready for Halloween?
